And yes, most of them you can order online to experience in the comfort of your own home.

ITALIAN

Located in Sydney’s CBD Angel Place, Ragazzi is one of those hidden hideaway gems. A little hole in the wall, this dreamy Italian-style restaurant boasts an incredible reputation and equally impressive wine list where there are over 300 Italian and natural wines to choose from. With all pasta made in house, the food menu changes daily, so you can expect to try something new and exciting on each and every occasion. It’s also exceptionally affordable, with all pasta dishes priced under $30. Open Monday through Thursday, 11.30 am-12 am and 3 pm - 12 am on Saturdays.

10 William Street

Another cosy little hideaway, 10 William Street is an old converted shopfront which oozes an eclectic mix of Italian and Australian infusions. Perfect for an afternoon catch up or evening affair, 10 William St is a wine bar at heart but is equally known for its seasonal menu designed with flavoursome Italian ingredients and techniques. Not sure what wine to drink? Just ask the friendly staff, they’ll offer a wealth of knowledge of what you should taste test first! A small and intimate space, the restaurant is currently open for bookings Thursday, Friday & Saturday and also offers a select takeaway menu to order online.

This relaxed, local eatery in Coogee is all about sharing that Italian sense of family and connection. With fabulous white interiors, Osteria offers a simple yet tasteful menu, designed to be shared. Fantastically delicious, its classic Italian dishes are served with a unique Australian twist. You can’t go past the burrata or agnello. Take in the coastal breeze as you experience their Aperitivo afternoons, and enjoy the seasonally driven wine menu as you sit and enjoy Coogee’s very own, little corner of Italy. Open Wednesday through Sunday with restricted seating times, Osteria also offers O at Home.

FRENCH

Bistro Mosman

Soak up all the beautiful natural light in what looks like a converted greenhouse and do what the french do on Sydney’s lower north shore. While it’s interiors may be casually chic, it’s menu is positively French featuring premium ingredients. A relaxed setting, Bistro Mosman is best served for a celebratory affair. Snack on fries and sip champagne while basking in laughter of friends. Book ahead online to secure your table, open Tuesday through Sunday.

Mimi’s

A luxurious European inspired restaurant located on the first floor of Merivale’s, Coogee pavilion. “Think French farmhouse meets Mediterranean retreat, complete with art deco details and 50 shades of linen”. Enjoy a tantalising view as you sip cocktails, looking out onto the water through their mesmerising, tall-arched windows. If you decide to dine, definitely save up. This french restaurant is one best for those seecial occasions.

GREEK

The Apollo

A minimalist, elegant space with high ceilings, mediterratinian arches and exposed concrete. What more do you need? Delish food, and Apollo doesn’t disappoint. Renowned world-wide for its acclaimed interiors and mouth-watering dishes, everything on the menu is designed to be shared. If we can recommend anything, it’s don’t wear white and order the lamb. If dining with friends, go ‘The Full Greek’ and take in the ambience and experience all the joys that comes with an authentic greek-style family affair. Open Monday to Thursday, 5pm till late and all day till late on the weekends, they also have a take-away menu for you to experience The Apollo at home.

Encompassing all that comes with classic greek hospitality, if you’re one for fine-dining, Aristotles should definitely be next on your hit list. An intimate space, nestled in Neutral Bay, its interiors feature high ceilings and quirky decor, where the delicious menu presents a modern take on traditional Greek food, with nothing lost in translation.
