A 10 Step At-Home Facial For Glowing Skin

As soon as word spread that Sydney was going back into lockdown, rest assured you knew where to find the TPR girls. That is, curled up on the couch, face mask on with a wine in hand.

Not surprisingly, this isn’t limited to a lockdown. During a regular working week, 9 times out of 10, at least one of our therapists is taking some time out and treating themselves to a pamper night in.

The 10 Step Facial At Home For Glowing Skin

Ok, ok, so you’ve showered, washed your hair, freshly moisturised and now it’s time for a SELF-experience at home, TPR style.

1 . Double Cleanse

Starting with a double cleanse, the first step is all about the prep. While the first cleanse gets rid of the topical dirt and grime, the second cleanse provides a deep clean right into your pores so they’re ready to soak up all the goodness to follow.

2. Scrub

Next, you want to gently exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells. As we know, exfoliating is a necessary step (at least 2-3 times a week) that will help prevent any clogged cores and potential breakouts as a result. Leaving you with a brighter, smoother, and even complexion. 

3. Purifying clay mask

Now that you’ve properly prepped and cleansed the skin, it’s time to apply a purifying clay mask. An extension of sorts to your scrub, a purifying mask will help break down further congestion and work to bring forward any bacteria sitting just below the surface, much quicker. Need to combat a few skin concerns? Try multi-masking. Leave this on for about 15-20 mins.

4. Hydrating mask

As our girls like to say, ‘a hydrating mask is like a big glass of water for the skin’. Like a grape, our skin starts to shrivel when it’s dehydrated, so it’s vital you give back some much-needed moisture and hydrating properties to the skin. Not only will it help smooth out any fine lines, but it’ll help give life back to dry and dull, dehydrated skin. Leave this on for 15-20 mins. Don’t have a mask? 5. Facial massage

If you’ve chosen a sheet mask, then this is a highly recommended next step. Working to increase circulation, you’ll start to help shift some of the toxins and relax the facial muscles. Which, if you continue daily, is especially useful in removing any puffiness and you’ll also start to see a noticeable change in your complexion, appearing much brighter, firmer and full of life.

 6. Serums

Now it’s time to really give our skin the leg up it deserves. A potent concentrate that can penetrate the skin cells much deeper than either an oil or moisturiser can (read more on the difference between oils, serums and moisturisers here), using a serum will help deliver active ingredients where they're needed most.

7. Creams

The final step in your facial at home, it’s time to lock in those nourishing and hydrating products with a moisturiser. Not only does it act as a final barrier and protective layer for your freshly cleansed skin, but it will also help seal in all those active ingredients so they’re able to really work their magic as you…
