The Carnosic acid present in the rosemary plant has been known to be a boss at repairing nerve and tissue damage and enhancing cellular turnover. This means that it is the perfect sidekick to promote nerve growth and increase blood circulation to your scalp. A healthy blood supply is vital to encourage healthy hair growth, as hair follicles require all the right nutrients delivered by blood to grow and survive. Without enough blood supply, those follicles can become malnourished and weak, leading to hair loss.

Regular use of rosemary oil can also help you win the battle against dandruff. Those pesky white flakes are caused by bacteria that clogs hair follicles, but improving scalp circulation with rosemary oil can put an end to it. Now, before you rummage through the kitchen cupboards to grab any rosemary oil you can find, undiluted essential oils should NEVER be applied to either hair or skin. How to use rosemary oil

Let it marinate for a maximum of 20 minutes before washing it out with a clarifying shampoo or giving your hair a double wash to prevent any build-up. Whatever you do, don’t snooze with the oil on your head overnight – your scalp needs its beauty sleep too! Patience is key here, as it may take up to six months of consistent use to notice a difference. And if you have sensitive skin, better safe than sorry – do a 24 hr patch test first and check in with your dermatologist if you’re unsure.
